Tiger grass
Thysanolaena maxima
Synonym: Thysanolaena latifolia
Family: Poaceae
This is a grass that look similar to a bamboo. It can make a very substantial clump eventually although remaining quite tight at the base. Use as a feature or as a fact-growing screen to about 2.5m
While probably more correctly called Thysanolaena latifolia, this large grass is better known here as Thysanolaena maxima.
