Dwarf Umbrella Tree

Schefflera arboricola species and cultivars

Other Common Names: Dwarf Schefflera
Family: Araliaceae

An easy to grow, drought tolerant and shrubby tropical for gardens or containers, indoors and out.

Not to be confused with the Queensland Umbrella tree (Schefflera actinophylla) which is weedy outside of its native habitat in Australia's tropical north and too big for suburban gardens. The roots also have a reputation for invasiveness.

The dwarf umbrella tree Schefflera arboricola was discussed in the 04-02-2022 edition of Get Results Gardening. If you're gardening in Australia, especially the warmer regions, you'll find plenty of other useful and interesting information in this weekly email publication.
