Mexican & South American theme gardens

including Aztec, Mayan and Inca historical themes

This page is intended to cover the broad themes of the Mexican, Central and South America, as well as the ancient cultures of these regions.

The types of plants that suit such gardens will vary quite a bit, from the heat and drought tolerant plants associated with the classic Mexican look (see also Mediterranean Style Gardens and Drought tolerant plants) to the lushness of a Rainforest Gardens.

The main focus purpose of this page will be to identify thematic plants and especially architectural elements, Garden Art and Decorative Accessories that can be used to evoke the ambience of your chosen theme.
